Exclusive breastfeeding for infants during the first 6 months of life can prevent malnutrition. Where breast milk contains all the baby's needs such as carbohydrates in the form of lactose, fat that contains a lot of polyunsaturated fatty acids (polyunsaturated fatty acids), the main protein lactalbumin which is easily digested, vitamins and minerals containing a calcium phosphate ratio of 2:1 which is a condition that ideal for calcium absorption (Yuliarti, 2014). The community and health workers need to understand the importance of proper breastfeeding practices for infants to improve nutritional status in infants, families often do not have knowledge about breastfeeding, inadequate knowledge and practices Improper nutrition can hinder the improvement of nutrition in infants (UNICEF, 2016). The behavior of mothers in breastfeeding their babies is one of the factors associated with the incidence of nutritional disorders in infants. The results of the research on mothers obtained the fact that only 5% of the mothers were able to exclusively breastfeed for 6 months, whereas 98% of the mothers were breastfeeding. From the research it was also found that 37.9% of these mothers never received information and 70.4% had information about exclusive breastfeeding. The habit of breastfeeding can meet the nutritional needs of babies and increase body resistance so as to help the baby's growth (Roesli, 2016). This research was conducted on 20-27 June 2022. The population of this study were all mothers who had babies 0-6 months in the working area of Jeuram Public Health Center, Nagan Regency. So the total number of samples in this study were 46 mothers who had babies 0-6 months. The results of the bivariate analysis show that Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the study can conclude the results of the research as follows: there is a relationship between family support and good nutritional status 0-6 months with a P value = 0.000 and there is a relationship between family support and good nutritional status 0-6 months with a P value = 0.001.
