Background : Gout is a disease that attacks the joints of the body, such as fingers, heels, toes, knees, to the wrists. The disease arises due to a buildup of purine substances which then turn into uric acid. Celery and basil plants have potential as traditional medicines for lowering uric acid levels. Because this plant contains flavonoid compounds which have the potential to act as antihyperuricemia in reducing uric acid levels. Research Objectives : To determine the effect of giving a combination of ethanol extract of celery leaves with basil leaves and the effective dose on reducing uric acid levels.Research Methods : This study was an experimental study with a purposive sampling technique consisting of a negative control group (Na-CMC 5%), positive control (allopurinol), group 1 dose 75: 25 mg/kg BW, group 2 dose 50 : 50 mg/kg BW and group 3 dose 25 : 75 mg/kg BW. This research was conducted from July to August 2023. Results : The results showed that the combination of ethanol extracts of celery leaves and basil leaves was able to reduce uric acid levels in mice. The combination treatment of ethanol extract of celery leaves and basil leaves showed a decrease in uric acid levels from D-9 to D-15. The combination of ethanol extract of celery leaves and basil leaves had a significant effect on The combination of ethanol extract of celery leaves and basil leaves had a significant effect on reducing uric acid levels in mice because the sig value was > 0.05. Conclusion : The combination of ethanol extract of celery leaves and basil leaves is effective in reducing uric acid levels around 21% to 27% and the most effective dose is the combined dose of 50:50 mg/kg BW.
