Formulasi Lip Balm Ekstrak Kulit Buah Jeruk Manis (Citrus sinensis L.) Sebagai Pelembab Bibir

ABSTRAK Kosmetik yang sering digunakan untuk melembabkan bibir yaitu lip balm. Fungsi lip balm yaitu untuk melindungi bibir dari kekeringan akibat paparan sinar matahari dan menjaga kelembaban bibir. Salah satu bahan alam yang kaya akan jumlah antioksidan yaitu kulit buah jeruk manis. Kulit buah jeruk manis mampu memberikan efek lembab bagi bibir karna mengandung zat yang dikenal sebagai sumber vitamin C, bertindak sebagai antioksidan yang dapat menetralkan radikal bebas. Mengetahui formulasi sedian lip balm dari ekstrak kulit buah jeruk manis (Citrus sinensis L.) yang efektif dalam melembabkan bibir. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental laboratorium. Lip Balm diformulasikan dengan K (-) tidak ada penambahan ekstrak, sedangkan pada F1 (6%), F2 (8%), F3 (10%) ada penambahan ekstrak kulit buah jeruk manis, kemudian tahap evaluasi formulasi lip balm dan data uji kelembaban lip balm sebagai pelembab bibir dianalisis menggunakan metode statistik berupa uji One Way Anova. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa seluruh formula memenuhi parameter sediaan yang baik dan tidak mengiritasi kulit. Hasil uji efektivitas kelembaban menggunakan alat skin analyzer pada kulit lengan bagian dalam panelis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kelembaban kulit sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan. Persentase kenaikan kelembaban untuk K(-), F1, F2, F3 dan K (+) berturut-turut adalah 38%, 39,44%, 43,22%, 44,22% dan 35,55%. Sediaan lip balm dari ekstrak kulit buah jeruk manis (Citrus sinensis L.) berpotensi sebagai pelembab bibir dan memenuhi standar parameter lip balm yang baik. Ekstrak kulit buah jeruk manis (Citrus sinensis L.) dapat diformulasikan sebagai lip balm dan lip balm ekstrak kulit buah jeruk manis (Citrus sinensis L.) memiliki efektivitas sebagai pelembab bibir. The function of lip balm is to protect the lips from dryness due to sun exposure and maintain lip moisture. One natural ingredient that is rich in antioxidants is sweet orange peel. Sweet orange peel is able to provide a moisturizing effect on the lips because it contains a substance known as a source of vitamin C, which acts as an antioxidant that can neutralize free radicals. Knowing the formulation of lip balm from sweet orange peel extract (Citrus sinensis L.) which is effective in moisturizing the lips. The research method used is laboratory experimental. Lip Balm is formulated with K (-) without adding extracts, while in F1 (6%), F2 (8%), F3 (10%) there is the addition of sweet orange peel extract, then the lip balm formulation evaluation stage and moisture test data Lip balm as a lip moisturizer was analyzed using statistical methods in the form of the One Way Anova test. The evaluation results show that all formulas meet the parameters of a good preparation and do not irritate the skin. The results of the moisture effectiveness test using a skin analyzer on the panelists' inner arm skin showed that there was a difference in skin moisture before and after treatment. The percentage increase in humidity for K(-), F1, F2, F3 and K (+) are 38%, 39.44%, 43.22%, 44.22% and 35.55% respectively. Lip balm preparations from sweet orange peel extract (Citrus sinensis L.) have the potential as a lip moisturizer and meet the standard parameters of a good lip balm. Sweet orange (Citrus sinensis L.) peel extract can be formulated as a lip balm and sweet orange (Citrus sinensis L.) peel extract lip balm is effective as a lip moisturizer. I. ORIGINALITY, AUTHORSHIP, AND COPYRIGHT
The manuscripts submitted for publication must be research works written in English that have not been previously published and  are not being considered for publication elsewhere. II. PERMISSION
The author is responsible for acquiring the permission(s) to reproduce any copyrighted figures, tables, data, or text that are being used in the submitted paper. Authors should note that text quotations of more than 250 words from a published or copyrighted work will require grant of permission from the original publisher to reprint. The written permission letter(s) must be submitted together with the manuscript.
III. EDITORIAL REVIEW AND REVISION
All papers will be critically read by at least two anonymous reviewers, selected for their competence in the subject area of the paper. Acceptance of the paper will depend upon its scientific merit and suitability for the journal. A paper may be accepted in its original form or subject to revision.
The reviewers' (and editor's) suggestions will be conveyed to the author, who will then have an opportunity to revise the paper. A manuscript returned to an author for revision can be held for a maximum of eight weeks.
The accepted paper will be edited by native English speakers. The cost of language editing service is currently free.
IV. PROOFS
Galley proofs (PDF format) for an accepted article will be sent by e-mail to the corresponding author for copyediting corrections. The core content of an article cannot be changed at this time. It is the author's responsibility to check the entire manuscript, including tables, figure legends, and cited reference numbers, not just the items queried. The proofs should be corrected and mailed to the editorial office within 48 hours of receipt in order to expedite publication. Only one set of corrections will be accepted. In other words, it is important to ensure that all of your corrections are sent to us in one communication.
V. Â REPRINTS
Five free reprint copies of the published article will be shipped to the corresponding authors in Indonesia only, approximately two weeks after the issue is printed. Authors, including overseas authors, who wish to purchase reprints, are required to complete the Reprint Order Form, which will be sent with the galley proofs to corresponding authors. This form must be returned together with the corrected galley proofs.
