A drug interaction is a situation in which a substance affects the activity of a drug, i.e. increases or decreases its effect, or produces a new, unwanted or planned effect. This study aims to determine how the pharmacokinetic interactions of statin drugs with antiretroviral groups. This study is a literature study. The results of this study with 4 articles that meet the inclusion criteria. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that for statin drugs that interact with antiretroviral drugs, the effect of the interactions that occur is that there can be an increase or decrease in AUC and Cmax values. An increase in this level can cause toxicity and when a decrease occurs, it can result in not achieving the therapeutic effect, so if you want to give it simultaneously it is necessary to adjust the dose.
Keywords: Pharmacokinetic interactions, statin group, antiretroviral group.
