Pengaruh Pemberian Aromaterapi Minyak Peppermint (Daun Mint) Terhadap Penurunan Mual Muntah Pada Ibu Hamil di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Krueng Barona Jaya

Emesis gravidarum merupakan keluhan umum yang terjadi pada kehamilan muda. Keluhan mual muntah pada emesis gravidarum merupakan hal yang fisiologis, akan tetapi apabila keluhan ini tidak segera diatasi maka akan menjadi hal yang berbahaya, diperlukan penangganan baik farmakologi maupun non farmakologi. pengobatan non farmakologi dapat dilakukan dengan pemberian aromaterapi menggunakan daun mint, diketahui bisa menjadi obat yang aman dan efektif untuk mengobati mual muntah pada ibu hamil. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian aromaterapi minyak peppermint (daun mint) terhadap penurunan mual muntah pada ibu hamil di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Krueng Barona Jaya tahun 2022. Desain penelitian ini adalah pre-eksperimen "One Grup Pretest-posttest Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua ibu hamil trimester 1 yang mengalami mual muntah di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Krueng Barona Jaya dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang berjumlah 15 responden. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 25-31 Maret 2022. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa sebelum diberikan intervensi pemberian aromaterapi minyak peppermint (daun mint) sebagian besar mual muntah responden berada pada kategori sedang sebanyak 8 responden (53,3%), sesudah diberikan intervensi pemberian aromaterapi minyak peppermint (daun mint) sebagian besar mual muntah responden berada pada kategori ringan dan sedang sebanyak 7 responden (46,7%), ada pengaruh pemberian aromaterapi minyak peppermint (daun mint) terhadap penurunan mual muntah pada ibu hamil dengan nilai p-value=0,011. Dapat ditarik kesimpulan ada pengaruh pemberian aromaterapi minyak peppermint (daun mint) terhadap penurunan mual muntah pada ibu hamil.

Emesis gravidarum is a common complaint that occurs in early pregnancy. Nausea and vomiting in emesis gravidarum are physiological in pregnant women but will be dangerous if not treated immediately. Pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments are needed to treat these symptoms. Moreover, non-pharmacological treatment can be done by giving mint leaf aromatherapy, which is known to be a safe and effective remedy to treat nausea and vomiting in pregnant women. This study aimed to examine the effect of peppermint oil aromatherapy (mint leaves) in reducing nausea and vomiting among pregnant women in the working area of Krueng Barona Jaya Community Health Center in 2022. This study was a pre-experimental One-Group Pretest-posttest Design. The population member of this study were all first-trimester pregnant women who experienced nausea and vomiting in the working area of Krueng Barona Jaya Community Health Center. 15 respondents were selected using the purposive sampling technique. This study was conducted from March 25 to 31, 2022. The findings of this study revealed that before the intervention of peppermint oil (mint leaf) aromatherapy, most of the respondents' nausea and vomiting were in the moderate category, as shown in 8 respondents (53.3%). After the intervention of giving peppermint oil aromatherapy (mint leaves), most of the respondents' nausea and vomiting were in the mild and moderate categories, as shown in 7 respondents (46.7%). Hence, there was an effect of giving peppermint oil aromatherapy (mint leaf) to decrease nausea and vomiting in pregnant women with a p-value = 0.011. The findings of this study conclude that peppermint oil aromatherapy (mint leaves) is effective to reduce nausea and vomiting in pregnant women.

II. PERMISSION

III. EDITORIAL REVIEW AND REVISION
All papers will be critically read by at least two anonymous reviewers, selected for their competence in the subject area of the paper. Acceptance of the paper will depend upon its scientific merit and suitability for the journal. A paper may be accepted in its original form or subject to revision.
The reviewers' (and editor's) suggestions will be conveyed to the author, who will then have an opportunity to revise the paper. A manuscript returned to an author for revision can be held for a maximum of eight weeks.
The accepted paper will be edited by native English speakers. The cost of language editing service is currently free.
IV. PROOFS
Galley proofs (PDF format) for an accepted article will be sent by e-mail to the corresponding author for copyediting corrections. The core content of an article cannot be changed at this time. It is the author's responsibility to check the entire manuscript, including tables, figure legends, and cited reference numbers, not just the items queried. The proofs should be corrected and mailed to the editorial office within 48 hours of receipt in order to expedite publication. Only one set of corrections will be accepted. In other words, it is important to ensure that all of your corrections are sent to us in one communication.
V. Â REPRINTS
Five free reprint copies of the published article will be shipped to the corresponding authors in Indonesia only, approximately two weeks after the issue is printed. Authors, including overseas authors, who wish to purchase reprints, are required to complete the Reprint Order Form, which will be sent with the galley proofs to corresponding authors. This form must be returned together with the corrected galley proofs.
