Infancy is a golden period as well as a critical period of a person's development. It is said to be a critical period because during this period the baby is very sensitive to the environment and it is said to be the golden age because the baby period is very short and cannot be repeated (Ministry of Health, 2009). The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of baby massage in improving the quality of baby sleep. The research method used in this research is pre-experimental with a pretest posttest one group design approach. This research was conducted at the Nurul Hasanah Kutacane Hospital. In this study, the population was mothers of 30 babies using total population sampling techniques. The pretest and posttest results showed an increase in the quality of baby's sleep as evidenced by the respondents who experienced a partial increase in sleep quality as many as 16 people (53.3%) and while the minority had poor sleep quality as many as 2 people (6.7%). The Wilcoxon test between pretest and posttest shows that there is an effect of giving baby massage on the quality of baby sleep with a value of p=0.001. The conclusion that baby massage can improve sleep quality is based on the results of the analysis before and after the intervention was given, which obtained significant values. Suggestions. This research can provide education about baby massage and mothers can then apply baby massage to their babies in their daily lives. -day.
