Diarrhea in Indonesia is a common disease and can be a potential Extraordinary Event (KLB) situation that is often accompanied by death. Diarrhea can be triggered by various types of bacteria, one of which is the Escherichia coli bacteria, this bacteria usually lives in the digestive tract of living things. The method in this study uses the Kirby Bauer disc diffusion method with several concentrations of essential oils of sweet orange peel and lemongrass stems, namely, 15%, 20%, 25% and 30%. Ceftiaxone 5% as a positive control and n-Hexan 99% as a negative control. The results of the study showed that the inhibition zones in sweet orange peel essential oil at concentrations of 15%, 20%, 25% and 30% had each inhibition zone with an average of 6.27 mm, 6.33 mm, 6.35 mm, 7.26 mm. The inhibition zones in lemongrass stem essential oil with the same concentration had each inhibition zone with an average of 6.21 mm, 6.24 mm, 6.32 mm and 7.2 mm. Meanwhile, the combination of essential oils, sweet orange peel and lemongrass stems does not produce an inhibition zone (0 mm).
