FORMULASI SEDIAAN GEL ANTIBAKTERI EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN BINAHONG (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) DAN UJI AKTIVITAS TERHADAP BAKTERI Staphyloccoccus epidermidis

Daun binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) adalah tanaman obat yang sering dimanfaatkan masyarakat sebagai obat tradisional, dan memiliki senyawa aktif alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin dan terpenoid yang memiliki aktivitas antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahwa formulasi gel ekstrak etanol daun binahong aktivitas antibakteri, dan untuk mengetahui perbedaan efektivitas gel ekstrak daun binahong terhadap bakteri Staphyloccoccus epidermidis. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental. Metode ekstraksi yang digunakan adalah maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96%. Konsentrasi ekstrak etanol daun binahong yang digunakan sebesar F1 (5)%, F2 (10%), dan F3 (15%) dengan kontrol positif gentamisin sulfate 0,1% dan kontrol negatif berupa basis gel (blanko). Uji aktivitas antibakteri menggunakan metode difusi cakram dengan melihat zona hambat yang terbentuk disekitar kertas cakram. Hasil penelitian uji aktivitas antibakteri menunjukkan ekstrak etanol daun binahong F1 (5%) memiliki diameter zona hambat rata-ratanya yaitu sebesar 7,27 mm, F2 (10%) berdiameter sebesar 8,62, dan F3 (15%) berdiameter sebesar 9,13 mm. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu sediaan gel ekstrak etanol daun binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) mempunyai aktivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri Staphyloccoccus epidermidis.Disarankan kepada peneliti selanjutnya untuk memformulasikan daun binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten) Steenis) ke dalam bentuk sediaan lain, seperti cream atau salep untuk pengobatan pada kulit yang terluka seperti luka bakar, luka terbuka.

Binahong leaf (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) is a medicinal plant that is often used by the community as traditional medicine, and has active compounds of alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins and terpenoids that have antibacterial activity. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of the ethanol extract gel formulation of binahong leaves, and to determine differences in the effectiveness of the binahong leaf extract gel against the bacteria Staphyloccoccus epidermidis. This research is experimental. The extraction method used is maceration with 96% ethanol as solvent. The concentration of the ethanol extract of binahong leaves used was F1 (5)%, F2 (10%), and F3 (15%) with a positive control of 0.1% gentamicin sulfate and a negative control in the form of a gel base (blank). Antibacterial activity test using disc diffusion method by looking at the inhibition zone formed around the paper disc. The results of the antibacterial activity test showed that the ethanol extract of binahong leaves F1 (5%) had an average diameter of the inhibition zone of 7.27 mm, F2 (10%) had a diameter of 8.62, and F3 (15%) had a diameter of 9. 13 mm. The conclusion of this study is that the gel preparation of the ethanol extract of the leaves of binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) has antibacterial activity against the bacterium Staphyloccoccus epidermidis. It is recommended that further researchers formulate the leaves of binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten) Steenis) into other dosage forms, such as creams or ointments for the treatment of injured skin such as burns, open wounds.

II. PERMISSION
The author is responsible for acquiring the permission(s) to reproduce any copyrighted figures, tables, data, or text that are being used in the submitted paper. III. EDITORIAL REVIEW AND REVISION
All papers will be critically read by at least two anonymous reviewers, selected for their competence in the subject area of the paper. Acceptance of the paper will depend upon its scientific merit and suitability for the journal. A paper may be accepted in its original form or subject to revision.
The reviewers' (and editor's) suggestions will be conveyed to the author, who will then have an opportunity to revise the paper. A manuscript returned to an author for revision can be held for a maximum of eight weeks.
The accepted paper will be edited by native English speakers. The cost of language editing service is currently free.
IV. PROOFS
Galley proofs (PDF format) for an accepted article will be sent by e-mail to the corresponding author for copyediting corrections. The core content of an article cannot be changed at this time. It is the author's responsibility to check the entire manuscript, including tables, figure legends, and cited reference numbers, not just the items queried. The proofs should be corrected and mailed to the editorial office within 48 hours of receipt in order to expedite publication. Only one set of corrections will be accepted. In other words, it is important to ensure that all of your corrections are sent to us in one communication.
V. Â REPRINTS
Five free reprint copies of the published article will be shipped to the corresponding authors in Indonesia only, approximately two weeks after the issue is printed. Authors, including overseas authors, who wish to purchase reprints, are required to complete the Reprint Order Form, which will be sent with the galley proofs to corresponding authors. This form must be returned together with the corrected galley proofs.
