Liquid shower soapispotassium compounds with fatty acids from vegetable oils or animal fats in the form of a thick, foamy liquid, used as a skin cleanser by adding fragrance and other ingredients that do not harm skin health. The senggani plant has been used as a traditional medicine which is known as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, healing wounds, diarrhea, dysentery, arthritis and others. Melastoma malabaticum L. belongs to the tribe Melastomataceae contains chemical compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, steroids/triterpenoids, and glycosides. Flavonoids, saponins and tannins are chemical compounds that have antibacterial potential. This study aims to determine phytochemical screening, antibacterial activity test ofliquid shower soapethanol extractsenggani leaves (Melastoma malabaticum L.). Extraction is carried out by maceration using ethanol solvent. Screening Phytochemistry was carried out on simplicia powder senggani leaves (Melastoma malabaticum L.), antibacterial activity test using the diffusion methodso that by observing the zone of inhibition against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The results of the phytochemical screening test for ethanol extract contained alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, saponins, tannins, steroids/triterpenoids. Aantibacterial activity senggani leaf extract liquid bath soapon concentration 1.8%, followed by 1.4%, and 1%with resistance diameter respectively 10.4mm, 9.84mm, 8.64mm.
