Background of the Problem: Perineal wound is one of the causes of postpartum hemorrhage, so it requires adequate nutritional intake. The existence of a culture of dietary restrictions will have an impact on the duration of wound healing. Mother's knowledge has an important role in the mother's actions to abstain from eating during the Madueng period in Acehnese culture. The purpose of the study: to determine the relationship between knowledge of post partum mothers about dietary restrictions in healing perineal wounds in the working area of the Samadua Community Health Center. The research method used is descriptive analytic with a cross sectional study design. The sample of this study was 45 post partum mothers with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using the chi square test to determine the relationship between variables. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between maternal knowledge about dietary restrictions and perineal wound healing with a p-value of r 0.000 with a 95% confidence interval. It can be concluded that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. It is recommended to Samadua Health Center officers to increase mother's knowledge by providing counseling about nutrition and the impact of dietary restrictions in the madeung culture which can have a detrimental impact on the health of mothers and babies.
