Successful management of diabetes mellitus can be achieved through regular monitoring of blood glucose and identifying possible risk factors through teaching self-care and behavior change. Another method of management is through physical exercise that involves relaxing the body a relaxation that can free diabetics from sugar addiction and ensure that all hormones that regulate the body system work optimally, one of which is autogenic relaxation. This study aims to determine the effect of autogenic relaxation in reducing blood glucose levels in type II diabetes patients in Kajhu Village. This research method is a quasi-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection was carried out from sept 7–12, 2022. The population in this study was 15 people with diabetes mellitus, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection using primary data analysis using a paired t-test. The results showed that there were changes in blood sugar levels before and after giving an autogenic relaxation intervention (p = 0.001). It can be concluded that the provision of autogenic relaxation intervention is effective at affecting changes in blood sugar levels before and after intervention. It is hoped that the results of this study can be used as input in determining the program that will be implemented as an effort to improve public health in the future.Â
