UJI EFEKTIVITAS ANTIKOLESTEROL EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN SIRIH MERAH (Piper Crocatum Ruiz &Pav) PADA TIKUS PUTIH

Latar belakang:Kolesterol yang berlebihan akan menyebabkan gumpalan dalam saluran darah. Kadar kolesterol tinggi dapat meningkatkan resiko terjadinya obesitas, aterosklerosis, dan penyakit jantung coroner. Salah satu jenis tumbuhan yang dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol adalah daun sirih merah (piper crocatum ruiz & pav). Tujuan penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui efektifitas ekstrak etanol daun sirih merah dalam menurunkan kadar kolesterol dengan konsentrasi yang paling efektif. Selanjutnya diberikan suspense ekstrak etanol daun sirih merah 400 mg/kg BB, 800 mg/kg BB,1600 mg/kg BB, kontrol negatif diberikan Na CMC 0,5%, dan kontrol positif diberikan simvastatin 10 mg. data yang diperoleh disajikan dalam bentuk tabel sederhana dan uji statistic yaitu uji one way anova. Hasil penelitian: dapat diketahui bahwa dosis 1600 mg/kg dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol lebih efektif dengan nilai penurunan 176. Data yang diperoleh dari uji one way anova yaitu normalitas dan homogenitas yang mana nilai signifikan o,840 0,05. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ekstrak etanol daun sirih merah dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol dimana dosis 1600 mg/kg BB menunjukan aktifitas terbaik dalam menurunkan kolesterol pada tikus.

Background: Excessive cholesterol will cause clots in the blood vessels. High cholesterol levels can increase the risk of obesity56666, atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease. One type of plant that can lower cholesterol levels is red betel leaves (piper crocatum ruiz & pav). Research objectives: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of red betel leaf ethanol extract in reducing cholesterol levels with the most effective concentration. Next, red betel leaf ethanol extract suspension was given at 400 mg/kg BW, 800 mg/kg BW, 1600 mg/kg BW, the negative control was given 0.5% Na CMC, and the positive control was given 10 mg simvastatin. The data obtained is presented in the form of a simple table and the statistical test is the one way ANOVA test. Research results: it can be seen that a dose of 1600 mg/kg can reduce cholesterol levels more effectively with a reduction value of 176. Data obtained from the one way anova test are normality and homogeneity where the significant value is o.840 > 0.05. The conclusion of this research is that ethanol extract of red betel leaves can reduce cholesterol levels where a dose of 1600 mg/kg BB shows the best activity in reducing cholesterol in mice.

II. PERMISSION
The author is responsible for acquiring the permission(s) to reproduce any copyrighted figures, tables, data, or text that are being used in the submitted paper. Authors should note that text quotations of more than 250 words from a published or copyrighted work will require grant of permission from the original publisher to reprint. The written permission letter(s) must be submitted together with the manuscript.
III. EDITORIAL REVIEW AND REVISION
All papers will be critically read by at least two anonymous reviewers, selected for their competence in the subject area of the paper. Acceptance of the paper will depend upon its scientific merit and suitability for the journal. A paper may be accepted in its original form or subject to revision.
The reviewers' (and editor's) suggestions will be conveyed to the author, who will then have an opportunity to revise the paper. A manuscript returned to an author for revision can be held for a maximum of eight weeks.
The accepted paper will be edited by native English speakers. The cost of language editing service is currently free.
IV. PROOFS
Galley proofs (PDF format) for an accepted article will be sent by e-mail to the corresponding author for copyediting corrections. The core content of an article cannot be changed at this time. It is the author's responsibility to check the entire manuscript, including tables, figure legends, and cited reference numbers, not just the items queried. The proofs should be corrected and mailed to the editorial office within 48 hours of receipt in order to expedite publication. Only one set of corrections will be accepted. In other words, it is important to ensure that all of your corrections are sent to us in one communication.
V. Â REPRINTS
Five free reprint copies of the published article will be shipped to the corresponding authors in Indonesia only, approximately two weeks after the issue is printed. Authors, including overseas authors, who wish to purchase reprints, are required to complete the Reprint Order Form, which will be sent with the galley proofs to corresponding authors. This form must be returned together with the corrected galley proofs.
