Social anxiety is defined as the fear of being judged and evaluated negatively by others, leading to feelings of deprivation, confusion, humiliation, and pressure. This anxiety arises when individuals feel heavy pressure, such as in the current era, namely anxiety about exposure to the Covid-19 virus and salary cuts that individuals must receive. There are many factors behind social anxiety in employees, one of which is self-concept. Self-concept has an important role in determining individual behavior. How the individual sees himself will be seen from all his behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and social anxiety in early adulthood. The method in this study uses a quantitative approach. The research subjects were employees of Angkasa Pura II Banda Aceh and were taken using the purposive sampling technique. Data collection tools used are self-concept scale and social anxiety scale. Data analysis used product moment correlation technique. The total population in this study was 190 people and the sample used was 100 people. The results of the study using the product moment correlation showed that the correlation rx|yx was 0.782 at a significant level of p < 0.05. This means that there is a significant negative correlation between self-concept and social anxiety in early adult employees. In addition, based on the results of data analysis, it is known that there is a statistically significant relationship between self-concept and social anxiety in early adult employees as indicated by the value of Fregresi = 75,411 with r < 0.05. The contribution of self-concept to social anxiety can be seen from the results of the squared correlation value (R2) or determinant coefficient (RSquaare) of 0.611 or 60%, which means that there are still 40% of other factors that influence social anxiety besides self-concept.
