Efektivitas Aromaterapi Lemon Terhadap Emesis Gravidarum Pada Ibu Hamil Trimester I di Puskesmas Ulee Kareng Banda Aceh

Ibu hamil trimester I yang datang berkunjung ke puskesmas Ulee Kareng mengeluh sering mual dan muntah sehingga tidak memiliki selera makan, selain itu ibu mengalami muntah di pagi hari, siang dan malam hari. Petugas puskesmas hanya menyarankan ibu untuk mencoba makanan yang tidak membuat mual, dan petugas memberikan vitamin dan obat anti mual selain itu belum ada alternatif lain untuk mengurangi mual dan muntah pada ibu hamil. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui Efektivitas Aromaterapi Lemon Terhadap Emesis Gravidarum pada ibu hamil trimester I di Puskesmas Ulee Kareng Kota Banda Aceh Tahun 2023. Desain penelitian ini komparatif dengan rancangan penelitian ini adalah one group pretest-posttest with control group design. Populasi penelitian yaitu sebanyak 53 ibu hamil dengan teknik purposive sampling diperoleh sampel sebanyak 15 responden. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 20 Maret sampai 15 Mei tahun 2023. Hasil penelitian univariat menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata ibu hamil trimester I yang mengalami emesis gravidarum sebelum diberikan terapi lemon yaitu berada pada skala 15,33 dengan nilai standar deviasi (SD) sebesar 5,354. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata ibu hamil trimester I yang mengalami emesis gravidarum setelah diberikan terapi lemon yaitu mengalami penurunan skala yaitu 12,67 dengan nilai standar deviasi (SD) sebesar 5,260. Hasil uji statistik memperlihatkan nilai uji T Paired sebesar 2,256 dan nilai P value 0,001 yang artinya ada pengaruh tingkat emesis gravidarum ibu hamil sebelum dan setelah diberikan aromaterapi lemon pada ibu hamil trimester I di Puskesmas Ulee Kareng Kota Banda Aceh Tahun 2023. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah ada perbedaan sebelumdan setelah diberikan aromaterapi lemon terhadap emesis gravidarum pada ibu hamil trimester I. Disarankan bagi puskesmas dapat dijadikan aromaterapi lemon sebagai alternatif lain dalam mengurangi emesis gravidarum pada ibu hamil secara non farmakologi disamping pengobatan yang telah diberikan secara farmakologi oleh bidan Puskesmas.

Pregnancy in the first trimester may cause pregnant women to experience nausea and vomiting in the morning, afternoon, and evening. The pregnant woman commonly reported this complaint during their health examination at Ulee Kareng Community Health Center. The Community Health Center officer suggested eating food that may relieve nausea. They also provided vitamins and anti-nausea medicine. They offered no other ideas to reduce nausea and vomiting among pregnant women. This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of lemon aromatherapy against Emesis Gravidarum among trimester I pregnant women in Ulee Kareng Community Health Center Working Area of Banda Aceh in 2023. This research used a comparative design with one group pretest-posttest with control group design. The population of this research was 53 pregnant women, 15 respondents as the sample chosen using the purposive sampling technique. This research was conducted from March 20, 2023 to May 15, 2023. The univariate analysis showed that most pregnant women in the first trimester experienced emesis gravidarum before lemon therapy on a 15.33 scale with a 5.354 standard deviation value. In contrast, the scale was decreased to 12.67, and the standard deviation value was also reduced to 5.260 after lemon therapy was provided. The statistical analysis showed that the T Paired test was 2.256 and the p-value was 0.001, which revealed that there was an influence of lemon aromatherapy toward emesis gravidarum among the first-trimester pregnant women in Ulee Kareng Community Health Center of Banda Aceh in 2023. This research showed a significant difference before and after lemon aromatherapy provided toward emesis gravidarum among first-trimester pregnant women. It was suggested to the Community Health Center to offer lemon aromatherapy as another alternative to decrease emesis gravidarum among pregnant women as a non-pharmacology method besides the pharmacology method conducted by the midwife in the Community Health Center.

V. Â REPRINTS
