The disease, better known as high blood pressure, is a major risk factor for the development of heart disease and stroke. Without treatment, hypertension can lead to complications such as paralysis (stroke), myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, and terminal renal failure. Treatment of hypertension can be done pharmacologically as well as through non-pharmacological or alternative therapies, including herbal therapy, nutritional therapy, progressive relaxation, meditation, laughter therapy, acupuncture, acupressure, aromatherapy, reflexology, and hydrotherapy. This study aims to determine the effect of cananga aromatherapy (Cananga odorata) on lowering blood pressure in hypertensive patients. This type of research is quasi-scientific. This research design is a one-group pretest-posttest design without using a comparison group. Data collection was carried out from June 13 to 26, 2023. The population in this study consisted of 30 elderly people with hypertension. Data collection using primary data Analysis using Wilcoxon, univariate, and bivariate analysis techniques. The results showed that there was a difference in blood pressure between systolic (p-0.000) and dyastolic (p = 0.007) (<0.05) after giving the treatment.
