Covid-19 vaccination aims to reduce the risk of transmission and break the chain of Covid-19. The large amount of confusing news circulating about the Covid019 vaccine in society is one of the reasons why people do not want to be vaccinated. The purpose of this study was to find out the efforts of village officials to increase public awareness of the implementation of the Covid-19 vaccination in Alai Village, East Kluet District, South Aceh Regency in 2022. ThisÂ
research is qualitative in nature using an in-depth interview method. The informants in this study consisted of 10 people, namely the village head, village secretary, 1 religious figure, 1 health worker and 1 Covid-19 task force and 5 people from Alai Village. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the implementation of the vaccination program in Alai Village has been considered successful. This can be seen by the number of people who have received vaccinations of 95%. This success was achieved due to supporting factors in the form of growing awareness from the community as a result of the dangers of the Covid-19 virus and the efforts of village officials to convince the community to vaccinate. Efforts to increase awareness of vaccination in the Alai Village community have been carried out using several methods, ranging from general socialization, religious approaches, conducting personal education with the community, using the mass media, to the stage of providing assistance to people who volunteer to be vaccinated. It is hoped that the village apparatus will continue to coordinate across sectors such as the police, health workers and the Covid-19 Task Force to continue to increase public awareness of the benefits of the Covid-19 vaccination and it is hoped that village officials along with health workers and the Covid-19 Task Force will continue to provide education and appeal to the public to want to vaccinate.
