The research was carried out by maceration using ethanol solvent, the extract obtained was made into a lotion formulation. The lotion preparations were made in various concentrations, namely F1, F2 and F3, then several tests were carried out, including phytochemical tests, irritation tests, preference tests and brightness tests. The results obtained were that the F3 lotion had a higher skin brightness level than the comparison preparation, this was due to the effect of the higher concentration of guava peel extract which contained flavonoid compounds.
