GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN MENYIKAT GIGI SISWA SDN PULO IE KECAMATAN KUALA KABUPATEN NAGAN RAYA

Latar Belakang: Upaya pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut serta pembinaaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut terutama pada anak sekolah perlu mendapatkan perhatian khusus karena pada usia ini anak sedang menjalani proses tumbuh kembang. Berdasarkan pemeriksaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut pada 10 orang anak diketahui bahwa status kebersihan gigi dan mulut berada pada kategori 2,9 (kriteria sedang). Sementara target nasional OHI-S < 1,2 (kriteria baik). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran menyikat gigi siswa SDN Pulo Ie Kecamatan Kuala Kabupaten Nagan Raya. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif, dengan melakukan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 33 murid sementara dalam penelitian ini tidak ada pengambilan sampel tapi penelitian pupulasi kelas IV dan V dengan distribusi 33 murid. Dilakukan pada tanggal 27 januari 2024. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan adalah pengetahuan menyikat gigi paling banyak berada pada kategori sebanyak 20 murid (60,1%) dan yang baik sebanyak 13 murid (39,9%). Siswa murid SDN Pulo Ie masih kurang mengetahui tentang pengetahuan menyikat gigi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa menyikat gigi berada pada kriteria kurang baik yaitu sebanyak 20 murid (60,1%) sedangkan kategori yang baik berada pada 13 murid (39,9%). Disarankan kepada murid agar dapat lebih menerapkan kebiasaan menyikat gigi dengan cara menyikat gigi teratur supaya menghindari terjadinya penyakit gigi. Bagi sekolah untuk meningkatkan UKGS di sekolah berupa penyeluhan yang diberikan oleh guru UKGS tentang kebersihan dan mulut dan cara menyikat gigi massal guna meningkatkan status kesehatan gigi dan mulut anak. Dan bagi instasi pemerintah untuk memberikan penyeluhan tentang kesehatan gigi dan mulut kepada orang tua murid guna meningkatkan kesehatan gigi dan mulut anak.

Background: Efforts to maintain dental and oral health and foster dental and oral health, especially in school children, need special attention because at this age children are undergoing a growth and development process. Based on dental and oral hygiene examinations in 10 children, it is known that the dental and oral hygiene status is in category 2.9 (moderate criteria). While the national target of OHI-S  1.2 (good criteria). This study aims to determine the description of tooth brushing of students at SDN Pulo Ie, Kuala District, Nagan Raya Regency. This study is descriptive, by conducting interviews using questionnaires. The population in this study was 33 students while in this study there was no sampling but a population study of classes IV and V with a distribution of 33 students. Conducted on January 27, 2024. The results of the study obtained were that the knowledge of brushing teeth was mostly in the category of 20 students (60.1%) and good as many as 13 students (39.9%). Students at SDN Pulo Ie still lack knowledge about tooth brushing knowledge. It can be concluded that brushing teeth is in the poor criteria, namely 20 students (60.1%), while the good category is 13 students (39.9%). It is recommended that students can better implement the habit of brushing their teeth by brushing their teeth regularly to avoid dental disease. For schools to improve UKGS in schools in the form of counseling provided by UKGS teachers about oral hygiene and how to brush teeth in mass to improve the status of children's dental and oral health. And for government agencies to provide counseling about dental and oral health to parents of students in order to improve children's dental and oral health.

II. PERMISSION

III. EDITORIAL REVIEW AND REVISION
All papers will be critically read by at least two anonymous reviewers, selected for their competence in the subject area of the paper. Acceptance of the paper will depend upon its scientific merit and suitability for the journal. A paper may be accepted in its original form or subject to revision.
The reviewers' (and editor's) suggestions will be conveyed to the author, who will then have an opportunity to revise the paper. A manuscript returned to an author for revision can be held for a maximum of eight weeks.
The accepted paper will be edited by native English speakers. The cost of language editing service is currently free.
IV. PROOFS
Galley proofs (PDF format) for an accepted article will be sent by e-mail to the corresponding author for copyediting corrections. The core content of an article cannot be changed at this time. It is the author's responsibility to check the entire manuscript, including tables, figure legends, and cited reference numbers, not just the items queried. The proofs should be corrected and mailed to the editorial office within 48 hours of receipt in order to expedite publication. Only one set of corrections will be accepted. In other words, it is important to ensure that all of your corrections are sent to us in one communication.
V. Â REPRINTS
Five free reprint copies of the published article will be shipped to the corresponding authors in Indonesia only, approximately two weeks after the issue is printed. Authors, including overseas authors, who wish to purchase reprints, are required to complete the Reprint Order Form, which will be sent with the galley proofs to corresponding authors. This form must be returned together with the corrected galley proofs.
