The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health promotion using video media and flipchart media on the level of knowledge about health protocols in patients with hypertension in the work area of the Onan Ganjang Health Center in 2022. WHO since January 2020 has declared the world to be in a global emergency related to this virus. Cases of death with comorbidities are Diabetes Mellitus 9.4%, Hypertension 9.2% and Heart Disease 4.8%. Based on the observation that the implementation of health protocols is still low and from an initial survey conducted on 10 hypertension patients, it was found that there was still a lack of knowledge about health protocols. The type of research used was a quasi-experiment with the One Group Pretest – Posttest Design given health promotion treatment with video media and health promotion treatment with flipchart media. The population in this study were hypertension sufferers who were members of the PTM Posbindu in 12 villages and the research sample was 124 respondents. The results showed that after being given health promotion using video media the knowledge score increased (mean score 7.15 to mean 10.50) after being given video media treatment with a p-value of 0.000 < Level of Significant = 0.05. and flipchart media increased knowledge score (mean score 6.15 to mean 12.95) after being treated with flipchart media with p-value 0.000 < Level of Significant = 0.05. Thus the effect of health promotion using video media and flipchart media on the level of knowledge about health protocols in patients with hypertension in the Work Area of the Onan Ganjang Health Center is significant with different score levels.
