Keefektifitasan Aromaterapi Lavender dalam Menurunkan Stres pada Mahasiswa Keperawatan Tingkat Akhir

Pendahuluan Stres akademik merupakan suatu respons tubuh terhadap tuntutan terkait akademik yang melebihi kemampuan yang dimiliki mahasiswa. Salah satu tindakan penanganan stres akademik dengan penerapan aromaterapi lavender yang merupakan terapi alternatif dengan menggunakan tumbuh - tumbuhan aromatik. Tujuan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas penerapan aromaterapi lavender dalam menurunkan stres pada mahasiswa keperawatan tingkat akhir. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasy Eksperimen dengan pendekatan pretest dan postest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa tingkat akhir dengan jumlah sampel 39 orang. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan pada tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Hasil: penelitian didapatkan bahwa aromaterapi lavender efektif dalam menurunkan tingkat stres mahasiswa tingkat akhir yaitu pada saat pengukuran pre test nilai rata-rata (mean) adalah 25,53, sedangkan hasil pengukuran saat post test didapatkan nilai rata-rata (mean) 22,23 dengan p-value= 0.000. Kesimpulan: bahwa ada perbedaan tingkat stres mahasiswa tingkat akhir sebelum dan sesudah diberikan aromaterapi lavender dengan nilai p-value= 0.000. Saran bagi peneliti selanjutnya untuk melakukan penelitian dengan desain Quasi experiment, yaitu dengan memberikan 2 intervensi yang berbeda kepada mahasiswa untuk mengurangi tingkat stres mahasiswa.

Introduction Academic stress is a body's response to academic-related demands that exceed the capabilities of students. One of the measures to deal with academic stress is applying lavender aromatherapy, an alternative therapy using aromatic plants. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the application of lavender aromatherapy in reducing stress in final-year nursing students. Method: This research is Quasi Experiment research with a pre-test and post-test design approach. The population in this study was final-year students with a total sample of 39 people. This research was conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2021/2022. Result: The results showed that lavender aromatherapy was effective in reducing the stress level of final-year students, during the pre-test measurement the average value (mean) was 25.53. While the post-test measurement results obtained an average value (mean) of 22.23 with a p-value= 0.000. Conclusion: The results of the study can be concluded that there is a difference in the stress level of final-year students before and after being given lavender aromatherapy with a p-value = 0.000. Therefore, lavender aromatherapy can be used as an alternative to reducing student stress levels against academic demands.

I. ORIGINALITY, AUTHORSHIP, AND COPYRIGHT

II. PERMISSION
The author is responsible for acquiring the permission(s) to reproduce any copyrighted figures, tables, data, or text that are being used in the submitted paper. III. EDITORIAL REVIEW AND REVISION
All papers will be critically read by at least two anonymous reviewers, selected for their competence in the subject area of the paper. Acceptance of the paper will depend upon its scientific merit and suitability for the journal. A paper may be accepted in its original form or subject to revision.
The reviewers' (and editor's) suggestions will be conveyed to the author, who will then have an opportunity to revise the paper. A manuscript returned to an author for revision can be held for a maximum of eight weeks.
The accepted paper will be edited by native English speakers. The cost of language editing service is currently free.
IV. PROOFS
Galley proofs (PDF format) for an accepted article will be sent by e-mail to the corresponding author for copyediting corrections. The core content of an article cannot be changed at this time. It is the author's responsibility to check the entire manuscript, including tables, figure legends, and cited reference numbers, not just the items queried. The proofs should be corrected and mailed to the editorial office within 48 hours of receipt in order to expedite publication. Only one set of corrections will be accepted. In other words, it is important to ensure that all of your corrections are sent to us in one communication.
V. Â REPRINTS
Five free reprint copies of the published article will be shipped to the corresponding authors in Indonesia only, approximately two weeks after the issue is printed. Authors, including overseas authors, who wish to purchase reprints, are required to complete the Reprint Order Form, which will be sent with the galley proofs to corresponding authors. This form must be returned together with the corrected galley proofs.
