Unmet need for family planning is a multidimensional problem and will not only be the cause of a population explosion but can also affect the high maternal mortality rate (MMR) in Indonesia. The percentage of unmet need nationally in 2015 was 14.87%. The unmet need for family planning in Aceh province is 14.25% and the percentage of incidents in Aceh Besar is (16.28%). The purpose of this study was to determine the determinants of unmet need for family planning in the Work Area of the Peukan Bada Health Center, Aceh Besar District in 2019. This type of research is analytic in nature with a cross sectional approach. The research was carried out on June 10-30 2019 in the Working Area of the Peukan Bada Health Center, Aceh Besar District. Sampling by purposive sampling with a sample of 32 people. The research instrument used a questionnaire and data collection techniques by means of interviews. Data analysis by means of univariate and bivariate. The results of the bivariate analysis study obtained knowledge (p=0.018, OR=7.93), husband's support (p=0.006, OR=12.60) and the role of health workers (p=0.002, OR=18.00). It can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge, husband's support, and the role of health workers with the incidence of Unmet need for family planning in the Working Area of the Peukan Bada Health Center, Aceh Besar District. It is hoped that health workers can provide more education to the community in the form of family planning health counseling, so that it can reduce the incidence of unmet need.
