HUBUNGAN KARIES GIGI DENGAN KUALITAS HIDUP MURID SEKOLAH DASAR DI SD NEGERI 54 KOTA BANDA ACEH

Kualitas hidup digunakan dalam bidang kesehatan untuk menganalisis emosional seseorang, faktor sosial dan kemampuan fisik seseorang, termasuk didalamnya kemampuan untuk memenuhi tuntutan kegiatan atau aktivitas dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Karies gigi merupakan masalah yang penting karena tidak saja menyebabkan keluhan rasa sakit,  mangakibatkan menurunnya produktivitas. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui hubungan karies gigi dengan kualitas hidup murid sekolah dasar di SD Negeri 54 Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian bersifat analitik dengan  desain  cross  sectional. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui wawancara dan pemeriksaaan karies gigi DMF-T/def-t. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh murid sekolah dasar usia 11-12 tahun di SD Negeri 54 Kota Banda Aceh. Sample penelitian yaitu total sampling berjumlah 78 orang. Analisa yang digunakan analisa univariat dengan distribusi  frekuensi  dan  analisa bivariat  untuk  mengetahui  hubungan variabel independent dan dependent dengan menggunakan uji statistik chi- square dengan α< 0,005. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 78 murid yang diteliti kualitas hidup buruk sebanyak 25 responden 42,4% dengan kategori karies sangat tinggi. Sedangkan kualitas hidup baik sebanyak 8 responden 42,1% dengan kategori karies rendah. Hasil uji chi-square diperoleh nilai p- value =0,000 (α<0,005), bahwa value 95%, dapat disimpulkan  terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kualitas hidup dengan karies gigi pada murid sekolah dasar SD Negeri 54 Kota Banda Aceh Murid usia 11-12 tahun. Disarankan kepada guru dapat melakukan pembinaan pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut kepada murid agar dapat terbiasa berperilaku baik dalam menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut.

Quality of Life are used in the field of health to analyze a person's emotions, social factors and physical abilities, including the ability to meet the demands of activities or activities in daily life. Dental caries is an important problem because it not only causes pain complaints, but also results in decreased productivity. The study aimed to determine the relationship between dental caries and the quality of life of elementary school students at SD Negeri 54, Banda Aceh City. The research is analytical with a cross sectional design. Data collection was obtained through interviews and examination of DMF-T/def-t dental caries. The population of this study is all elementary school students aged 11-12 years at SD Negeri 54, Banda Aceh City. The research sample is a total sampling of 78 people. The analysis used was univariate analysis with frequency distribution and bivariate analysis to determine the relationship between independent and dependent variables using the chi-square statistical test with a α< of 0.005. The results of the study showed that of the 78 students who were studied, 25 respondents had poor quality of life, 42.4% with a very high caries category. Meanwhile, the quality of life was good as many as 8 respondents 42.1% with the low caries category. The results of the chi-square test obtained a value of p- value = 0.000 (α<0.005), that the value was 95%, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between quality of life and dental caries in elementary school students of SD Negeri 54 Banda Aceh City students aged 11-12 years. It is recommended that teachers can conduct dental and oral health maintenance coaching for students so that they can get used to behaving well in maintaining dental and oral health..

I. ORIGINALITY, AUTHORSHIP, AND COPYRIGHT

II. PERMISSION

III. EDITORIAL REVIEW AND REVISION
All papers will be critically read by at least two anonymous reviewers, selected for their competence in the subject area of the paper. Acceptance of the paper will depend upon its scientific merit and suitability for the journal. A paper may be accepted in its original form or subject to revision.
The reviewers' (and editor's) suggestions will be conveyed to the author, who will then have an opportunity to revise the paper. A manuscript returned to an author for revision can be held for a maximum of eight weeks.
The accepted paper will be edited by native English speakers. The cost of language editing service is currently free.
IV. PROOFS
Galley proofs (PDF format) for an accepted article will be sent by e-mail to the corresponding author for copyediting corrections. The core content of an article cannot be changed at this time. It is the author's responsibility to check the entire manuscript, including tables, figure legends, and cited reference numbers, not just the items queried. The proofs should be corrected and mailed to the editorial office within 48 hours of receipt in order to expedite publication. Only one set of corrections will be accepted. In other words, it is important to ensure that all of your corrections are sent to us in one communication.
V. Â REPRINTS
Five free reprint copies of the published article will be shipped to the corresponding authors in Indonesia only, approximately two weeks after the issue is printed. Authors, including overseas authors, who wish to purchase reprints, are required to complete the Reprint Order Form, which will be sent with the galley proofs to corresponding authors. This form must be returned together with the corrected galley proofs.
