SOSIALISASI TENTANG KONSEP PERENCANAAN DAN PERANCANGAN PUSAT INFORMASI IPTEK DI KOTA BANDA ACEH DENGAN UNGKAPAN VISUAL BANGUNAN YANG INFORMATIF DAN INOVATIF
Abstrak
The development of science and technology which is always moving fast and scientific journals in the world, is very much needed for scientists to follow the development of science and technology in their respective fields according to their needs. This science and technology information can be in the form of scientific articles for scientists, researchers, lecturers and students so that they are always abreast of new developments in their field of knowledge, as well as information about the advancement of science and technology in the world. The flood of science and technology information, either through printed media (published scientific journals) or electronic media (internet) or CD-ROM, requires us to be  able  to trace  the  whereabouts  of  science  and technology  information, manage  science  and technology information, present and serve science and technology information so that it can be utilized by the whole community for development or the maximum benefit for the development of science and technology in Indonesia. The importance of this, actually has been realized by all parties, both the policy holders in the field of science and technology and the public who are potential users of science and technology information in Indonesia, but the condition of providing science and technology information, especially subscriptions to foreign scientific journals, is currently lacking or limited to only a few titles, compared to with foreign scientific magazines of around 400,000 titles. In addition, the distribution of foreign scientific journals, science and technology information networks or libraries is not evenly distributed and does not run smoothly, due to various considerations, constraints and other technical factors. Several attempts and breakthroughs have been made to formulate the concept of the national science and technology information network system (Ipteknet) and the improvement and improvement of the service and collection system (the provision of national science and technology information) are still running aground from one concept to another, because at the time they will be realized or implemented collisions the lack of funds, infrastructure and facilities, human resources and so on. For that we need a means of gathering a national science and technology information network that is incorporated from various nodes of science and technology information providers, either known as internet cafes as information providers, data processing centers, or libraries using information technology and telecommunications bases in the form of computer networks (computers). networks). It is hoped that this can be used as an input for decision-holders and planning for national science and technology information and to support the national science and technology information network so that it can operate optimally in accordance with the community's needs for science and technology information needed for the development of science and technology itself in Indonesia.
