Improving Teacher Pedagogic Competence in RPP Development Through Individual Supervision Techniques in SMA Fostered in Pidie Jaya
Â
This study aims to obtain data and efforts to improve the pedagogic ability of teachers in developing lesson plans as teacher preparation to carry out learning in accordance with the 2013 curriculum. The research method used is School Action Research (PTS) which consists of 2 cycles. The research subjects were 23 subject teachers spread over 2 target high schools in Pidie Jaya Regency. This research was carried out using two cycles, where each cycle will be supervised individually for each teacher who is the object of research. Each supervision uses the RPP review supervision instrument that has been tested and is suitable for use. Preliminary data obtained indicate that the ability of teachers to develop lesson plans is still low at around 20%. After research and improvement efforts were made in the first cycle, the teacher's ability increased to 65% of the number of teachers studied. In the research in the first cycle, the researcher still directs the teacher to develop lesson plans with a theoretical basis based on the existing technical guidelines. Researchers still feel that this increase is not enough, so they continue in cycle II. In carrying out research in cycle II, researchers directed teachers to practice directly with researchers based on theoretical studies that had been studied in the previous cycle. Then it was found that the increase in the ability of teachers was very significant, up to 91% of the existing teachers were able to develop lesson plans well. And also the activeness of teachers in developing lesson plans increased to the maximum extent.
