PENERAPAN MODEL KOOPERATIF TIPE SNOWBALL THROWING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN SISWA PADA MATERI TEKS ANEKDOT

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa kelas X IPS 2 SMA Negeri 1 Jaya melalui penggunaan Model Kooperatif Tipe Snowball Throwing pada Materi Teks Anekdot pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dari bulan September sampai November 2021 yang terdiri atas 2 siklus. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa-siswi kelas X IPS 2 SMA Negeri 1 Jaya tahun pelajaran 2021/ 2022 sebanyak 25 siswa. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif komparatif dengan membandingkan kondisi awal dengan hasil-hasil yang dicapai pada setiap siklus, dan analisis deskriptif kualitatif hasil observasi dengan membandingkan hasil observasi dan refleksi pada siklus I dan siklus II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan model kooperatif tipe Snowball dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa kelas X IPS 2 SMA Negeri 1 Jaya pada materi Teks Anekdot pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil tes pada siklus I dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 44 % nilai rata-rata kelas sebesar 75,2 dan meningkat pada hasil tes siklus II sebesar 88 % dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 90,2.

This study aims to improve students' understanding of class X Social Sciences 2 SMA Negeri 1 Jaya through the use of the Snowball Throwing Type Cooperative Model in Indonesian Anecdotal Text Materials. This research is classroom action research (CAR) conducted from September to November 2021 consisting of 2 cycles. The subjects of the research were 25 students of class X Social Sciences 2 SMA Negeri 1 Jaya in the 2021/2022 academic year. Data analysis used comparative descriptive analysis techniques by comparing the initial conditions with the results achieved in each cycle, and qualitative descriptive analysis of observations by comparing the results of observations and reflections in cycle I and cycle II. The results showed that the use of the Snowball-type cooperative model could improve the understanding of the students of class X IPS 2 at SMA Negeri 1 Jaya on the anecdotal text of the Indonesian language lesson. This is shown from the test results in the first cycle with a completeness percentage of 44%, the class average value of 75.2 and an increase in the second cycle test results by 88% with a class average value of 90.2.
