PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA MELALUI MODEL THINKING ALOUD PAIR PROBLEM SOLVING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA

Kemampuan komunikasi matematis merupakan salah satu pencapaian kurikulum yang harus dimiliki siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Untuk itu perlu adanya model pembelajaran yang tepat dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa, salah satu model yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan ini adalah Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran model Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran non Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving. Penelitian ini merupakan suatu studi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pre-test post-test control group design. Dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Mutiara dengan mengambil sampel dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol melalui teknik purposive sampling Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Untuk melihat adanya perbedaan kemampuan siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol digunakan uji-t pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Dari data dan hasil uji statistik kemudian dianalisis dengan bantuan SPSS 16,0 For Windows dan Microsoft Excel  untuk menginterpretasikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan model Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving. Secara keseluruhan penggunaan model Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.
