HUBUNGAN IKLIM SEKOLAH DENGAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR PADA SISWA DI SMA NEGERI 1 RIKIT GAIB

Abstrak
Guru adalah titik sentral dalam berbagai upaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan sekolah. Tingginya kualitas pendidikan di suatu sekolah, tentu saja akan mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di sekolah tersebut. Iklim sekolah yang menyokong motivasi belajar yang demikian merupakan usur penting dalam membangun sebuah sistem pendidikan yang baik guna melahirkan para generasi bangsa yang berkualitas unggul. Namun kenyataannya, terjadi penurunan prestasi siswa sejak adanya perubahan relationship- pada aspek kepemimpinan oleh karena adanya pergantian struktural di lingkungan SMA Negeri 1 Rikit Gaib Kabupaten Gayo Lues. Perubahan yang dominan teridentifikasi adalah kurangnya semangat dan antusiasme guru dalam mendampingi berbagai kegiatan siswa; baik dalam kegiatan kurikuler maupun non kurikuler dibandingkan periode-periode kepemimpinan sebelumnya. Hal ini tentu saja berdampak signifikan terhadap tinggi-rendahnya prestasi siswa, dikarenakan kualitas pendidikan yang baik sangat ditentukan oleh dedikasi dan loyalitas guru dalam berbagai aktivitas di sekolah. Oleh karena itu, fokus masalah kajian ini tertuju pada: gambaran iklim sekolah, motivasi belajar siswa, dan hubungan antara iklim sekolah dengan motivasi belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Rikit Gaib Kabupaten Gayo Lues. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasi. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh siswa SMA Negeri 1 Rikit Gaib Kabupaten Gayo Lues berjumlah 157 orang siswa. Penentapan kriteria sampel penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling dengan total sampel ditetapkan menggunakan rumus Slovin sebanyak 113 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian dengan cara membagikan angket pada tanggal 25 Januari 2021 sampai 08 Februari 2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Iklim sekolah di SMA Negeri 1 Rikit Gaib Kabupaten Gayo Lues termasuk dalam kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 105,04. Demikian pula halnya dengan motivasi belajar di SMA Negeri 1 Rikit Gaib Kabupaten Gayo Lues juga dapat dinyatakan dalam kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 90,39. Selain itu penelitian ini juga membuktikan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara iklim sekolah dengan motivasi belajar siswa. Motivasi belajar sangat dipengaruhi oleh iklim sekolah dan berpengaruh positif, yang artinya semakin baik iklim sekolah maka semakin tinggi motivasi belajar.
