This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Calang for three months from August to October 2021 aiming to improve skills through the use of the Jigsaw Type Cooperative approach in the material of elasticity for class XI IPA1 students of SMA Negeri 1 Calang. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles. The research subjects were 21 students of Class XI IPA1 of SMA Negeri 1 Calang in the 2021/2022 academic year. Data analysis used comparative descriptive analysis techniques and qualitative descriptive analysis of observations. Through the use of the Jigsaw Cooperative approach in the Elasticity material for students of class XI IPA1 SMA Negeri 1 Calang, the test results in the first cycle were obtained with a completeness percentage of 33%, the average value of class 63 and increased in the second cycle test results by 62% with an average score grade 70. In these two cycles there was a significant change in activity and score acquisition when compared to the pre-cycle with learning completeness which only reached 19% and the average score was 55. Thus, through the use of the Jigsaw Type Cooperative approach, it can improve the ability of elasticity material for students in class XI IPA1 at SMA Negeri 1 Calang. In addition, the results of observations on the teaching and learning process showed that students were more active in cycle I and cycle II.
