TINGKAT PENGGUNAAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE GROUP INVESTIGATION DALAM MEMECAHKAN MASALAH MATEMATIS DAN SELF-CONCEPT MAHASISWA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa hubungan antara penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group invetigasi dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada 29 mahasiswa program studi farmasi semester pertama, dengan tingkat kemampuan awal dari mahasiswa berbeda secara signifikan. Dalam pelaksanaan studi ini digunakan 6 pertanyaan dari 15 pertanyaan tes MPI (Mathematical Processing Instrument) yang dikembangkan oleh Hegarty & Kozhevnikov dan angket (skala sikap) tipe Likert yang terdiri dari 14 item pertanyaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Adanya hubungan positif antara penggunaan model pembelajaran Group Investigation dengan kemampuan memecahkan masalah matematis dan self-concept mahasiswa dalam tes MPI; dan (2) Adanya pendapat positif dari mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan model pembelajaran Group Investigation dalam memecahkan masalah matematis.
