IMPLEMENTASI CLOUD COMPUTING DENGAN METODE INFRASTRUCTURE AS A SERVICE PADA DINAS KOMUNIKASI, INFORMATIKA DAN PERSANDIAN KABUPATEN PIDIE

Peningkatan pemanfaatan layanan Teknologi Informasi di sektor Pemerintahan telah menyebabkan terjadinya peningkatan kebutuhan terhadap infrastruktur TI. Salah satu infrastruktur tersebut adalah server. Hal tersebut menimbulkan beberapa permasalahan, seperti bertambahnya biaya yang dibutuhkan untuk pengadaan dan maintenance yang semakin sulit. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) merupakan salah satu model dari layanan Cloud Computing, dimana penyedia layanan menyediakan infrastruktur TI secara virtual melalui internet kepada pengguna layanan. Dinas Komunikasi, Informatika dan Persandian Kabupaten Pidie merupakan Organisasi Pemerintah Daerah yang melaksanakan layanan infrastruktur dasar dan TIK Pemerintah Daerah. Dengan mengimplementasikan sistem Cloud Computing melalui metode IaaS, Dinas Komunikasi, Informatika dan Persandian Kabupaten Pidie dapat menyediakan sumber daya komputasi tervirtualisasi seperti Processor, RAM dan storage bagi Organisasi Perangkat Daerah lain di Kabupaten Pidie secara lebih efisien, sehingga mengurangi pemborosan resource dan kebutuhan akan server fisik. Proxmox Virtual Environment (VE) merupakan Sistem Operasi yang dapat melakukan virtualisasi server sehingga memungkinkan penyediaan layanan Cloud Computing dengan model IaaS. Selain itu, Proxmox VE juga merupakan Platform Open Source. Proxmox VE juga memiliki sistem cluster dan web interface terintegrasi, sehingga memudahkan administrator server untuk melakukan proses pemantauan dan pengelolaan data center. Selain itu, Proxmox VE juga menggunakan KVM Hypervisor yang menawarkan performa lebih baik dibandingkan jenis virtualisasi lainnya.

The fast adoption of Information and Technology in Government has led to increasing need for IT infrastructure, including server. This has been causing several problems, such as increasing in costs and the difficulty for maintenance. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is one of Cloud Computing model that provides virtual IT infrastructure via the internet to the users. Dinas Komunikasi, Informatika dan Persandian Kabupaten Pidie is Government Organization in Pidie Regency, Aceh that provides basic infrastructure and IT services for their clients, which is other Government Organization in Pidie Regency. By implementing IaaS Cloud Computing, Dinas Komunikasi, Informatika dan Persandian Kabupaten Pidie can provide virtualized computing resources such as CPU, RAM and storage to their clients more efficiently, thereby reducing improvidence use of resources and the need for physical servers. Proxmox VE is an Operating System that can virtualize servers, making it possible to provide IaaS Cloud Computing service model. Apart from that, Proxmox VE is also an Open Source Platform. Proxmox VE also has an integrated cluster system and web interface, making it easier for server administrators to monitor and manage data center. Proxmox VE also utilize KVM Hypervisor which offers better performance compared to other types of virtualization.
