IMPLEMENTASI TRANSFORMASI SLANT DALAM PENGENALAN POLA TULISAN ARAB PADA MANUSKRIP ARAB KUNO

Abstrak
Penelitian ini membahas penerapan teknik transformasi kemiringan (slant transformation) sebagai bagian dari proses prapengolahan citra dalam sistem pengenalan karakter tulisan Arab pada naskah kuno seperti AL-Qur’an dan Kitab Kitab bebahasa arab lainya. Tulisan tangan Arab dalam manuskrip masa lampau kerap menunjukkan ketidak teraturan arah huruf akibat faktor penulisan manual atau kerusakan media, yang menyebabkan kesulitan dalam proses segmentasi dan klasifikasi karakter. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, dilakukan penyesuaian sudut kemiringan huruf agar menyerupai bentuk ideal sebelum ekstraksi fitur dilakukan. Proses penelitian mencakup binarisasi citra dengan metode transformasi , deteksi tepi dengan operator sobel,. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem pendeteksian pola pada naskah pada manuskrib citra Al-Qur’an menggunakan Transformasi Slant memiliki prescision sebesar 50% dan Recall 90%.
