PEMBUATAN APLIKASI AR GEOKUL SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN BENTUK MOLEKUL PADA MATA PELAJARAN KIMIA DI SMA MENGGUNAKAN TEKNOLOGI AUGMENTED REALITY BERBASIS ANDROID

Abstrak - Kimia merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang wajib dalam kurikulum pendidikan, mempelajari Kimia ini tidak cukup dengan materi saja tetapi harus diimbangi dengan praktik, sehingga dalam proses belajar mengajar guru memerlukan sebuah media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa untuk lebih memahami materi pembelajaran kususnya pada materi Geometri molekul yang merupakan susunan beberapa dimensi dari atom-atom sehingga membentuk suatu molekul tertentu. Dengan permasalahan tersebut penulis memanfaatkan teknologi Augmented Reality pada smartphone android sebagai media pembelajaran yang dapat menvisualisasikan molekul dengan metode Makerless sehingga molekul tampak lebih nyata dalam bentuk tiga dimensi yang ditampilkan langsung diatas marker yang dibuat dengan menggunakan Vuforis SDK untuk memudahkan tracking pada marker sehingga menampilkan objekk 3D pada Smartphone Android, Dengan kombinasi antara materi kimia dari buku cetak dan teknologi augmented reality pada smartphone android diharapkan dapat menjadi aplikasi alternatif untuk membantu guru dalam menyampaikan materi secara lebih baik.
