ANALISIS QUALITY OF SERVICE (QOS) PADA JARINGAN USBN MAN 1 BANDA ACEH

Abstrak— Di era industri 4.0, penggunaan teknologi informasi merupakan suatu keniscayaan. Dalam perspektif pendidikan, teknologi informasi telah memberikan alternatif yang mendorong terjadinya efisiensi, salah satunya adalah ujian berbasis komputer. MAN 1 Banda Aceh telah menerapkannya dalam pelaksanaan Ujian Sekolah Berstandar Nasional (USBN). Namun, dalam realitanya, pelaksanaan USBN yang menggantikan penggunaan ujian konvensional, memberikan tantangan yang perlu diatasi secara teknis. Jumlah perangkat keras yang dapat digunakan dan kecepatan akses data merupakan permasalahan yang dihadapi, sehingga pelaksanaan USBN dapat berjalan lancar sesuai alokasi waktu yang tersedia. Permasalahan tersebut dapat diatasi dengan melakukan pengujian beban terhadap server USBN, sehingga kinerja server tersebut dapat diketahui, diprediksi, dan disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan aplikasi yang digunakan. Pengujian beban ini dilakukan secara real time di laboratorium komputer MAN 1 Banda Aceh. Pada pengujian beban pertama, server diberi beban 40 client. Selanjutnya secara bertahap ditambah 10 client selama tiga kali berturut-turut, sehingga totalnya berjumlah 70 client. Selama proses pengujian berlangsung dilakukan pemantauan jaringan menggunakan Wireshark. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengukuran nilai QoS dengan parameter throughput, packet loss, dan delay. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terjadi perbedaan kinerja yang signifikan antara 40, 50, 60, maupun 70 client. Berdasarkan indeks kategori dari nilai hasil rata-rata adalah memuaskan. Dengan demikian, satu server dapat mengelola 70 client secara bersamaan, sehingga terjadi penghematan biaya sumber daya jaringan fisik.

Abstract— In the industrial era 4.0, the use of information technology is a necessity. In the education perspective, information technology has provided alternatives that encourage efficiency, one of which is a computer-based test. The MAN 1 Banda Aceh has applied it in the implementation of the National Standard School Examination (USBN). However, in reality, the implementation of USBN which replaces the use of conventional exams, presents challenges that need to be overcome technically. The amount of hardware that can be used and the speed of data access are problems encountered so that the implementation of USBN can run smoothly according to the available time allocation. These problems can be overcome by testing the load on the USBN server, so that the server's performance can be known, predicted, and adjusted to the needs of the application used. Load testing is carried out in real time in MAN 1 Banda Aceh computer laboratory. In the first load test, the server is given a load of 40 clients. Furthermore, gradually added 10 clients for three times in a row, so that the total number of 70 clients. During the testing process, network monitoring is carried out using Wireshark. Then the QoS value is measured using parameters throughput, packet loss and delay. The results of testing shows that there is no significant difference in performance between 40, 50, 60, and 70 clients. In terms of category index, the average result value is satisfactory. Thus, one server can still manage 70 clients simultaneously, resulting in budget savings in physical network resource costs.
