Abstrak

Abstrak— Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan SIG untuk mapping potensi wisata di Kabupaten Aceh Besar, dengan tujuan mengidentifikasi potensi wisata, membangun basis data spasial yang mencakup informasi tentang lokasi potensi wisata dan infrastruktur pendukung, serta mengembangkan aplikasi SIG untuk visualisasi dan analisis data secara komprehensif. Kemudian, studi ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi manfaat penerapan SIG dalam mapping potensi wisata. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif eksploratif. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi studi literatur, observasi lapangan, dan wawancara dengan pemangku kepentingan yang terlibat dalam sektor pariwisata. Analisis data melibatkan teknik analisis data kualitatif seperti reduksi data, kategorisasi, dan interpretasi. Hasil mengungkapkan bahwa banyak potensi wisata di Aceh Besar, tantangan dalam infrastruktur, kontribusi masyarakat lokal, dan penerapan SIG dalam mapping pariwisata. Kesimpulannya adalah perlunya SIG dalam manajemen dan pengembangan pariwisata, serta perlunya kolaborasi di antara pemangku kepentingan.

Abstract— This study focuses on the development of GIS for mapping tourism potential in Aceh Besar District, with the aim of identifying tourism potential, building a spatial database that includes information about the location of tourism potential and supporting infrastructure, and developing GIS applications for comprehensive data visualization and analysis. Furthermore, this study aims to evaluate the benefits of applying GIS in mapping tourism potential. The methodology used is qualitative research with an exploratory descriptive method. Data collection techniques included literature study, field observation, and interviews with stakeholders involved in the tourism sector. Data analysis involved qualitative data analysis techniques such as data reduction, categorization, and interpretation. Results revealed that there are many tourism potentials in Aceh Besar, challenges in infrastructure, the role of local communities, and the application of GIS in tourism mapping. The conclusion was the need for GIS in tourism management and development, as well as the need for collaboration among stakeholders.
