Desa Pesisir Lhoknga yang terletak di Kabupaten Aceh Besar merupakan wilayah dengan potensi sumber
daya alam yang tinggi, terutama pada sektor kelautan dan pariwisata bahari. Namun, kawasan ini
menghadapi tantangan besar seperti abrasi pantai, degradasi lingkungan, keterbatasan infrastruktur publik,
serta minimnya upaya mitigasi terhadap risiko bencana alam, khususnya tsunami. Penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk merancang kawasan waterfront yang berkelanjutan dengan mengintegrasikan aspek ekologis, sosial,
ekonomi, dan budaya lokal. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dengan
kombinasi metode observasi lapangan, wawancara partisipatif, studi literatur, dan analisis spasial-zonasi.
Hasil analisis menunjukkan pentingnya pembagian zona fungsional berdasarkan karakteristik ekologi dan
aktivitas masyarakat, yang terdiri dari zona konservasi (restorasi vegetasi pantai dan mangrove), zona
ekonomi produktif (pusat perikanan dan UMKM pesisir), serta zona edukatif-rekreatif (taman interaktif,
jalur evakuasi, dan ruang publik terbuka). Rancangan kawasan ini menerapkan prinsip-prinsip green
infrastructure, seperti drainase berwawasan lingkungan, penggunaan material lokal ramah lingkungan, serta
strategi mitigasi risiko bencana berbasis komunitas. Melalui pendekatan desain partisipatif dan prinsip
keberlanjutan, perancangan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat pesisir Lhoknga,
memperkuat identitas kawasan, dan menjadi prototipe pengembangan waterfront pesisir yang adaptif
terhadap perubahan iklim dan tantangan lingkungan masa depan.
