PERANCANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS JUMLAH MAHASISWA UNIVERSITAS UBUDIYAH INDONESIA BERBASIS WEB

Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan pihak akademik, terdapat beberapa permasalahan pada sistem informasi akademik (SIAKAD). sistem tersebut digunakan untuk melihat data mahasiswa namun yang tersedia belum lengkap, data yang tersedia hanyalah data mahasiswa per program studi sedangkan untuk melihat data daerah asal belum tersedia di sistem tersebut. Oleh karena itu untuk perekapan data daerah asal mahasiswa masih menggunakan cara manual, sehingga pihak akademik mengalami kesulitan dalam mencari data daerah asal mahasiswa. Dan permasalahan lainnya adalah belum tersedianya sistem informasi geografis jumlah mahasiswa UUI sehingga masyarakat tidak bisa mencari informasi tentang persebaran jumlah mahasiswa UUI saat ini. Maka dari itu dibuatlah sistem informasi geografis jumlah mahasiswa UUI berbasis web. Sistem Informasi Geografis yang dirancang memuat data mahasiswa UUI termasuk di dalamnya informasi mengenai profil mahasiswa dan jumlah mahasiswa per program studi dan daerah asal mahasiswa. Aplikasi sistem informasi geografis ini dibuat dengan menggunakan PHP, MySQL, dan Open Street Maps. Pengguna dari sistem ini adalah akademik dan siapa saja yang ingin mengakses informasi mengenai kemahasiswaan di UUI.Hasil yang dicapai sig dapat mempermudah staff akademik dan pihak yang berkepentingan lainnya dalam mengakses data dan informasi mengenai kemahasiswaan di UUI.
