ALAT DETEKSI NOMINAL UANG KERTAS RUPIAH & DOLLAR BAGI PENYANDANG TUNANETRA BERBSASIS ARDUINO UNO

Uang merupakan alat yang digunakan untuk melakukan transaksi jual beli dan sudah digunakan oleh seluruh manusia disetiap penjuru dunia. Hal ini sudah pasti menjadikan uang menjadi barang pokok untuk setiap orang, bahkan bagi para penyandang disabilitas seperti halnya tunanetra. Keterbatasan tunanetra dalam hal melihat merupakan masalah dalam hal komunikasi sehingga mereka hanya mengandalkan indra peraba dan pendengar. Kelemahan tunanetra dalam melihat dan mengidentifikasi uang dapat menyebabkan uang tertukar, salah ambil, atau bahkan tertipu pada saat transaksi. Mengacu dari hal tersebut maka perlu adanya alat bantu yang dapat memudahkan tunanetra untuk mengidentifikasi nilai nominal uang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang alat yang dapat digunakan untuk mendeteksi nilai nominal uang kertas. Alat ini menggunakan sensor warna TCS3200-DB untuk mendeteksi warna uang kertas, dan diubah menjadi data RGB dengan mikrokontroler. Berdasarkan dari hasil perancangan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dalam bentuk suara dan sudah mampu mendeteksi nominal uang kertas seperti 1000, 2000, 5000, 10.000 , 20.000, 50.000, 100.000,$1 dan $10.
