Abstrak

Abstrak- Terminal bus merupakan sebuah infrastruktur yang memiliki fungsi sebagai transportasi barang dan juga penumpang.  Infrastruktur terminal ini juga sangat  di diperlukan untuk mengatur seluruh kendaraan umum yang mengangkut penumpang meliputi bus, mini bus, dan transportasi umum lainnya. Dalam hal ini terminal memiliki peran yang cukup penting sehingga sarana dan prasarana yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh pengguna pun harus di optimalkan guna menunjang seluruh aktifitas pengguna didalam, namun hal tersebut tidak sesuai untuk kondisi terminal pada saat ini yang berada di Batoh.  Terminal  tipe  A yang  berada  di Batoh  Banda  Aceh  belum  sesuai  dengan standarisasi terminal tipe A pada umumnya faktor tersebut yang dapat mempengaruhi minat dari pengguna. Untuk saat ini. Redesain atau perancangan kembali terminal bus tipe A Batoh ini akan mengacu pada pedoman standarisasi terminal tipe A dengan penerapan konsep Simbolis Architecture di harapkan dapat menghidupkan kembali citra dari sebuah terminal dengan fungsinya secara maksimal dan pelayanan yang memadai serta dapat menarik masyarakat untuk menggunakan kembali.

Kata Kunci : Redesain, Terminal Bus Tipe A, Arsitektur Simbolis.

Abstract- The bus terminal is an infrastructure that has a function as the transportation of goods and passengers. This terminal infrastructure is also very much needed to regulate all public transportation that transports passengers including buses, mini buses, and other public transportation. In this case the terminal has an important role so that the facilities and infrastructure that are needed by the user must be optimized to support all user activities inside, but this is not suitable for the current condition of the terminal in Batoh.  The type A  terminal  in Batoh Banda  Aceh is not in  accordance  with the standardization of the type A terminal in general, these factors can affect the interest of users. For now. The redesign or redesign of the Batoh type A bus terminal will refer to the standardization guidelines for the type A terminal with the application of the Symbolic Architecture concept.
