PEMBUATAN GAME LABIRIN 3D

Seiring perkembangan teknologi, handphone kini digunakan untuk aplikasi multimedia seperti bermain game. Sebelumnya, game labirin 2D untuk handphone dikembangkan menggunakan Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME) oleh Aries Afriliansyah (2022) dengan tujuan hiburan dan melatih kognitif. Namun, keterbatasan grafis dan pengalaman bermain yang sederhana menjadi masalah. Penelitian ini mengembangkan game labirin 3D untuk desktop untuk pengalaman bermain yang lebih kaya, interaktif, dan edukatif. Dengan memanfaatkan grafis dan prosesor desktop yang lebih kuat, game ini menawarkan visualisasi kompleks, kontrol lebih baik, serta fitur edukatif tambahan yang tidak mungkin dicapai di platform mobile. Fitur-fitur edukatif ini termasuk teka-teki yang lebih menantang, peningkatan daya ingat, dan latihan berpikir kritis. Pengembangan menggunakan Unity untuk menciptakan lingkungan 3D realistis dan optimalisasi kinerja pada berbagai hardware desktop. Hasil penelitian ini menciptakan game labirin 3D desktop dengan Unity, mengatasi keterbatasan grafis dan pengalaman versi 2D. Game ini menawarkan pengalaman yang lebih imersif dan edukatif, dengan kontrol yang lebih baik dan interaksi yang memuaskan. Dibandingkan dengan game 2D untuk handphone, versi 3D ini memiliki kelebihan signifikan, meningkatkan kualitas pengalaman bermain dan pendidikan pengguna.

As technology develops, cellphones are now used for multimedia applications such as playing games. Previously, a 2D maze game for mobile phones was developed using Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME) by Aries Afriliansyah (2022) with the aim of entertainment and cognitive training. However, graphical limitations and a simple gaming experience are a problem. This research develops a 3D maze game for desktop for a richer, interactive and educational gaming experience. By utilizing more powerful graphics and desktop processors, these games offer complex visualizations, better controls, and additional educational features that are impossible to achieve on mobile platforms. These educational features include more challenging puzzles, memory enhancement, and critical thinking exercises. Development uses Unity to create realistic 3D environments and optimize performance on a variety of desktop hardware. The results of this research created a desktop 3D maze game with Unity, overcoming the graphical and experience limitations of the 2D version. This game offers a more immersive and educational experience, with better controls and satisfying interactions. Compared to 2D games for mobile phones, this 3D version has significant advantages, improving the quality of the gaming experience and user education.
