Abstrak

Pulau Simeulue, yang terletak di Provinsi Aceh, Indonesia, merupakan salah satu destinasi wisata yang semakin populer di kalangan wisatawan domestik maupun mancanegara. Pulau ini terkenal dengan keindahan pantai, keanekaragaman hayati laut, dan budaya lokal yang unik, seperti tradisi "Nandong." Keunikan dan potensi wisata ini menjadikan Pulau Simeulue sebagai salah satu tujuan pariwisata strategis untuk mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal. Namun, seiring meningkatnya jumlah wisatawan, muncul tantangan dalam mengelola data pengunjung secara efisien dan akurat.

Pengelolaan data wisatawan asing merupakan aspek penting dalam perencanaan dan pengembangan  pariwisata yang berkelanjutan. Data ini tidak hanya berguna untuk memahami kunjungan wisatawan, tetapi juga sebagai dasar untuk merancang strategi pemasaran yang lebih efektif, hingga saat ini, sistem pendataan di Pulau Simeulue masih dilakukan secara manual dan sporadis, sehingga rentan terhadap ketidakakuratan dan sulit untuk diakses oleh pihak terkait.

Peningkatan jumlah wisatawan asing di Pulau Simeulue juga menuntut adanya infrastruktur pendukung yang lebih baik, termasuk sistem informasi yang dapat mencatat data wisatawan secara real-time. Pendataan yang baik dapat membantu pemerintah daerah dalam memantau tren kunjungan wisatawan, mengevaluasi dampak ekonomi, dan mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pengembangan fasilitas wisata. Dalam konteks ini, teknologi informasi berbasis website dapat menjadi solusi yang efektif untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ada.
