ANALISIS STRATEGI DESAIN RUMAH TINGGAL RENDAH EMISI UNTUK ADAPTASI PERUBAHAN IKLIM DI KECAMATAN MEURAXA KOTA BANDA ACEH

Penelitian ini menganalisis karakteristik desain rumah tinggal di Kecamatan Meuraxa, Banda Aceh,
dalam konteks adaptasi terhadap perubahan iklim, khususnya efisiensi termal dan ketahanan terhadap
banjir. Hasil observasi terhadap enam rumah menunjukkan bahwa bentuk bangunan memanjang dengan
atap pelana tinggi (>30°) dan bukaan di sisi panjang mendukung ventilasi silang yang optimal,
menghasilkan suhu dalam ruang yang lebih rendah hingga ±1,5°C dibandingkan rumah dengan bentuk
massa kompak dan atap datar. Ventilasi silang pasif yang dihadirkan melalui bukaan berseberangan
secara signifikan menurunkan suhu dalam ruang dan mengurangi kebutuhan pendinginan buatan.
Penggunaan material lokal seperti kayu juga menunjukkan performa termal yang stabil (29–30°C) serta
emisi embodied carbon yang lebih rendah (±150–180 kg CO?/m²), meskipun perlu mempertimbangkan
ketahanan terhadap kelembapan dan rayap. Selain itu, elevasi bangunan terbukti memengaruhi
ketahanan terhadap banjir; rumah panggung dengan elevasi >1 meter tidak mengalami genangan, serta
memberikan manfaat tambahan dalam sirkulasi udara bawah rumah. Temuan ini menegaskan
pentingnya pendekatan desain arsitektur tropis dan berkelanjutan dalam merespons tantangan iklim di
kawasan pesisir.
