PEMBUATAN PETA JARINGAN UNTUK MEMONITORING KONEKSI KOMPUTER MENGGUNAKAN PEMROGRAMAN BASH SCRIPT

Telah dirancang dan dibuat sebuah sistem monitoring jaringan komputer berbasis peta ruang. Sistem tersebut sangat

dibutuhkan karena belum adanya sistem untuk mendukung monitoring jaringan komputer tersebut di Universitas Ubudiyah.  Sistem  monitoring tersebut  berkaitan erat  dengan  pengelolaan keseluruhan jaringan  pada  unit-unit administrasi dan akademik Universitas yang berbasis komputer. Aplikasi monitoring berbasis peta ruang ini dapat membantu admin dalam menangani masalah jaringan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif dalam pengumpulan data IP dan pendataan keadaan jaringan. Aplikasi berbasis peta ruang ini dijalankan di sistem operasi Linux Ubuntu dengan menggunakan protokol ICMP, bahasa pemrograman Bash, AWK, PHP, Web Server Apache, MySQL dan Adobe Flash. Di dalam skrip Bash terdapat perintah Bash dan AWK. Perintah Bash akan menjalankan perintah-perintah berupa ping ke setiap client dan hasil ping disimpan dalam bentuk teks yang diproses oleh AWK. Hasil dari file AWK disimpan dalam bentuk teks di folder Web Server. Web Server selanjutnya akan melakukan penjadwalan (crontab) untuk menjalankan suatu perintah yang dibuat dalam script Bash. Aplikasi ini dapat dijalankan dengan Browser komputer dan dapat diakses di lingkungan Universitas, yaitu melalui desktop, laptop dan smartphone. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memudahkan pengelola jaringan di tingkat Universitas untuk memantau pengguna jaringan yang mengalami gangguan koneksi dan membantu admin dalam penanganan koneksi jaringan. Tampilan monitoring berbasis peta ruang ini menggunakan aplikasi Adobe Flash.
