PENYULUHAN PADA IBU NIFAS TENTANG PERAWATAN LUKA PERENIUM DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN DAUN SIRIH MERAH DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS TEUPIN RAYA KECAMATAN GLUMPANG TIGA KABUPATEN PIDIE TAHUN 2023
Abstract

Perineal wound care aims to prevent infection, increase comfort, and speed healing. Hygiene care in the genital area for mothers giving birth normally is more complex than for mothers giving birth surgically because they will have an episiotomy wound in the perineal area. Midwives teach birthing mothers how to clean the genital area with soap and water. The midwife taught her to clean the area around the vulva first from front to back, then clean the area around the vulva first from front to back, then clean the area around the anus. Advise mothers to wash their hands using soap and water before and after cleaning their genital area (Andina VS, 2018). Healing of wounds in perineal tears will heal in various ways, some heal normally and some experience delays in healing. This can be influenced by several things, including postpartum infections originating from injuries to the birth canal which is a medium for the growth of germs. This happens due to poor maintenance and poor hygiene. So it is necessary to carry out perineal care to speed up the healing process of perineal wounds (Walyani ES, 2016). The aim of this community service is to provide knowledge about treating perineal wounds using red betel leaves. This community service method uses counseling (friendliness and questions and answers) as well as improving how to care for the perenium with red betel leaves. In conclusion, there is an increase in maternal knowledge about wound care and it is effective in accelerating perennial wound healing and is very easy to do. The advice that mothers hope to give to care for red betel leaves is that it can be an effective and easy way to speed up the healing of perennial wounds
