Menstruation is a normal physiological process that occurs every month during a woman's productive age. The duration of menstruation is the distance from the first day of menstruation until the blood stops coming out, normally 3 to 7 days. The amount of blood that comes out during one menstruation is said to be normal if it does not exceed 80 ml. Sanitary napkins are an alternative to prevent menstrual bleeding. This condition makes sanitary napkins seem to be a basic necessity for women. The behavior of selecting sanitary napkins is very important, where women's sanitary napkin products must be clean and do not contain dangerous substances because they take into account the direct contact between the sanitary napkins and women's intimate areas. There has been a breakthrough to return to using cloth sanitary napkins that are usually rewashed so that they are more economical and reduce the disposal of sanitary napkin waste that contains materials that are difficult for nature to decompose. The reuse of cloth sanitary napkins must fulfill practical aspects so that they are suitable for use by today's women who are busy with various activities. Health promotion efforts have been carried out through outreach by presenting material via laptop and LCD media as well as distributing posters. The health promotion method used is classroom counseling. The material presented is the meaning of menstruation, menstrual phases, signs and symptoms of menstruation, the benefits of using cloth sanitary napkins and the disadvantages of cloth sanitary napkins.
