Abstract
Anemia is a common health problem in adolescent girls, especially due to iron deficiency which results in decreased hemoglobin concentration in the blood. This condition can affect growth, academic achievement, and quality of life of adolescents. This community service activity aims to conduct early examination of hemoglobin levels as an effort to detect anemia in adolescent girls at State SeniorMiddle School (SMA) 8 Banda Aceh City. The methods used include health education, hemoglobin level examination using a portable digital device (hemoglobinometer), and providing nutritional consultation based on the results of the examination. This activity was attended by 50 female students and was carried out in March 2025. The results of the examination showed that 38% of participants experienced mild to moderate anemia. These findings indicate the need for further interventions, such as providing iron supplements, increasing nutritious food intake, and regular health monitoring in the school environment. This activity is expected to increase awareness and knowledge of students and schools regarding the importance of early detection and prevention of anemia.
