Students' knowledge about the world of health, especially medicine, is still very limited, even though medicine is an ingredient that we can easily find around us. Medicines must always be used correctly to provide optimal clinical benefits. In this activity, counseling is carried out about the proper and correct use of medicines at SMKN 8 Lhokseumawe where an explanation about medicines will be given. The increasing use of drugs is not supported by students' knowledge regarding how to consume and dispose of drug waste properly and safely for the environment. Providing correct information on drug use is a necessity for students and the community to avoid negative impacts on personal health and the environment. The method used to achieve this goal is socialization or counseling activities for students of SMKN 8 Lhokseumawe. In counseling activities on how to use medicines properly and correctly, the material that will be socialized will be discussed, namely an explanation of the general definition of medicines and their use, then an explanation of generic medicines, patent medicines, traditional medicines and branded medicines.
