Nosocomial infection is currently one of the causes of the incidence and mortality in hospitals. Nosocomial infections can occur through non invasive measures, namely direct contact between patients who are suffering from infectious diseases with other patients, officers, visitors/families, hospital equipment, hospital environment, and others so that they can transmit the disease they are suffering from. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes about preventing nosocomial infections with nurses compliance at work. This type of research is quantitative with a cross sectional study design. Data collection was carried out on 15 to 22 June 2022. The population in the study was all nurses in the integrated inpatient room at the Aceh Besar Regional Hospital, 31 nurses. Data collection using primary data. Analysis using chi square test, univariate and bivariate analysis techniques. The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge (p=0.015) and attitude (p=0.045) with nurses compliance in washing hands. It is hoped that nurses will continue to wash their hands according to the procedures set by the government, so that they can reduce the transmission rate of nosocomial infections in hospitals.
